FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SUMMER...THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 100 DEGREES AT THE NASHVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AT 459 PM CDT. THIS IS THE HOTTEST TEMPERATURE IN NASHVILLE SINCE JULY 19TH OF LAST YEAR...WHEN THE TEMPERATURE ALSO REACHED 100 DEGREES.
RECORD HIGH FOR THIS DATE IS 104 SET BACK IN 1930.
AFTERNOON TRIPLE DIGIT TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY... THURSDAY AND POSSIBLY ON FRIDAY.
THE LAST TIME NASHVILLE HAD 3 CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT WAS BACK IN 1990. IN 1988 NASHVILLE HAD 6 CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF TRIPLE DIGIT TEMPERATURES.
